Why You Should Schedule a Routine Eye Exam

For those of us blessed with healthy eyes, it's easy to forget about the importance of taking preventative action namely, an optical exam. However, timely detection of eye disease is critical to keeping your eyes healthy. And all it takes is an eye test.

Numerous eye and vision problems don't have any apparent warning signs. As a result, individuals are often unaware that problems exist. You can schedule a thorough eye examination at our office in Salmon Arm, where our highly-trained optometry team offers service suited to the needs of every patient. Our Salmon Arm vision center employs the latest technology ensuring a complete eye exam.

Unfortunately, more than three million Americans have glaucoma, the main cause of vision loss but only half of them realize this. Often referred to as ''the sneak thief of sight'', glaucoma can impair vision without any signs. Most adults in America fail to use corrective lenses and don't receive comprehensive eye exams, therefore leaving their eyes at greater risk.

The problem is that most adults don't know that blinding conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration are often a-symptomatic and without a comprehensive eye exam are frequently found only when it's too advanced.

Routine eye examinations to check for eye disease should be on your to-do list. Make sure to set up regular eye exams with your local eye doctor in order to maintain your vision and eye health for many long years.

Please be advised that all office visits including exams, frame selections, repairs, pick-ups, and drop-offs are by appointment only. We are required to wear a face mask in our office and ask that you bring yours to your appointment.
